Taylor resides in Baltimore, Maryland. She is an avid Ultimate Frisbee player and dancing enthusiast (Image: 1). Taylor enjoys learning new things, traveling the world, socializing with interesting people, and supporting others with their educational attainment and professional development. Taylor uses her skills in event planning, program management, research and analysis, and relationship building to support a diverse team of researchers in ongoing investigative projects involving clinical trials.

Taylor’s research focuses on suicide and mental health. With inter-disciplinary training in the social sciences and lived experience in supporting a loved one through a suicidal period, Taylor brings a unique perspective for understanding the actionable implications of supporting others through mental health crises. Taylor’s other research interests include: stigma, public health, violent acts, youth and child development, children and families, education, urban sociology, and languages and cultures.

An Elon University grad living in Memphis, TN post-college, Taylor relocated to her home in the Old Line State in 2017. In 2018, she launched Charm City Spotlight to showcase the fascinating people that make up the heartbeat of Baltimore (Image: 2). In 2019, Taylor engaged her network to make a collective impact in Baltimore City through her volunteer roles with Thread and the Patterson Park Neighborhood Association (PPNA).

In her free time, you could find Taylor spending time with her family, running or playing outdoors, or traveling for a conference or vacation. If you spot her in an airport, she is likely the person wearing mix-matched socks at the security check-point, chatting with a stranger who may still be wearing headphones, or laughing loudly at an unfunny and juvenile pun.
